For the 2023-2024 school year, we are partnering with Her Future Coalition. Her Future Coalition is a non-profit organization based in Nepal, India, and now Kenya that is working to ensure survivors of human trafficking and other forms of gender-based violence have what they need to remain safe, free, and independent. HFC's goal is to provide long-term, intensive programs which address root causes and systemic injustices. Below are the projects we are currently supporting for HFC!
Our 2023-2024 Projects
Shelter
In Kenya, HFC is working to build a shelter inside a school for girls escaping or those at risk of child marriage, FGM or commercial sexual exploitation. It will have capacity for 50 girls and will be available to girls from 4 primary schools in the region.
Education
In India, HFC is working to fund a Resource Center in the Bowbazar red light area. This is a drop in center for kids whose moms were trafficked. It provides a safe space while their mothers are seeing clients, as well as education, tutoring, counseling, and more.
Job Training
In Nepal, we are working to fundraise for the salary of a mental health counselor. Providing an additional resources for girls in the hostiles at Nepal will ensure they are supported on their journey of healing and finding sustainable income generation.
